It’s been a while and a long Summer, but this happened almost two weeks ago. A new marathon PR at the Twin Cities Marathon. 4:24:08. I was thrilled and had the most fun ever!
Advice to my running friends, put you name on the front of your shirt! People cheered for me by name the entire race. Best. Support. Ever.
Now what should I do with all my free time? Hmmm.
Twin Cities Marathon here I come!
Two track workouts this week. On Tuesday did 10x400 with 2minutes rest between. The kicker? Each 400 had to be faster than the previous. The first couple weren’t bad. The last 4? Not so much. Fun part? My times….
2:06 (set the bar low)
Tomorrow, there is a ladder on the docket. Another first…
100, 200,300,400,300,200,100. Followed up by a timed mile. Fingers crossed.
Think like a fish…
Ran 3miles and then hit the pool this morning. Swimming is hard! I’ll have to figure it out before my tri! Paddle, paddle, paddle…
Better late than never.
Ran a 1:57 and change, my second fastest half marathon ever. Not bad at all.
Now, I’m registered for my first sprint triathalon in August and trying to decide if I’ll register for a Fall marathon.
The swim has me freaking out. Hitting the pool in the am. Wish me luck.
Happy Mother’s Day. I’m one lucky girl.
Off to the races again tomorrow. The pressure is off and I’m going to enjoy myself.
Where does the time go?
This spring has gotten away from me, but not without some goals being met.
I set a personal record in the half marathon on April 13th of 1:53:53. That’s more than 5 minutes better. I’m not gonna lie, I cried at the finish. Doesn’t make for great race pictures. All of the boot camps and hill work and speed work paid off.
I am running a half marathon this weekend in Providence, RI and feeling no pressure. Love it.
It’s not who you are that is holding you back.
It’s who you think you aren’t.
Happy St. patty’s Day!
It’s a beautiful weekend here in North Carolina.
I’ve been MIA and training like a crazy person. Guess what happened? 24:31 5k PR last weekend. Not to mention, 2nd place in my age group! Boom!
All the high intensity interval training totally paid off!
Now, I’m eyeing another PR in early April in the half marathon. Fingers crossed. It’s one heck of a hilly monster. I’m putting it out there.
Diet?! Work in progress. Need to put down the hammer and knock it out. I know what I have to do….now do it, silly. :)
