Happy Mother’s Day. I’m one lucky girl.
This spring has gotten away from me, but not without some goals being met.
I set a personal record in the half marathon on April 13th of 1:53:53. That’s more than 5 minutes better. I’m not gonna lie, I cried at the finish. Doesn’t make for great race pictures. All of the boot camps and hill work and speed work paid off.
I am running a half marathon this weekend in Providence, RI and feeling no pressure. Love it.
It’s a beautiful weekend here in North Carolina.
I’ve been MIA and training like a crazy person. Guess what happened? 24:31 5k PR last weekend. Not to mention, 2nd place in my age group! Boom!
All the high intensity interval training totally paid off!
Now, I’m eyeing another PR in early April in the half marathon. Fingers crossed. It’s one heck of a hilly monster. I’m putting it out there.
Diet?! Work in progress. Need to put down the hammer and knock it out. I know what I have to do….now do it, silly. :)
My hubs and I are celebrating by taking a cycle class together. There is a competition for the couple with the highest combined score. I’m just excited we are going it together!
Signed up for a half marathon in April which I WILL PR.
Joined my friends in a weight loss challenge. Watch out youngsters! The old lady is going to sneak up from behind and WIN.
Signed up for a six week High Intensity Interval training course which started this week. I cannot begin to describe the agony of completing 30X10 sec sprints, 20X20sec sprints AND 10x30 second sprints. But I can report that I did not quit AND I felt fantastic when I finished.
My mojo is polishing up quite nicely.
